Description
These easy Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and drenched in your favorite tangy buffalo sauce. They’re the ultimate crowd-pleaser for a party, so you’d better make a double batch!
Ingredients
2 lbs thawed or fresh chicken wings
1 and 1/2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp baking powder
Sauce
1/3 cup buffalo sauce of choice
3 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp honey
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400F.
- Pat wings completely dry with a paper towel.
- Add wings, oil, salt, pepper, and baking powder to a medium-sized bowl. Toss to coat.
- Working in batches if needed, add the wings to the air fryer basket in an even single layer making sure they don’t touch. Cook for 20 mins, flipping halfway through.
- Prepare the sauce while the chicken is cooking.
- In a small bowl, add buffalo sauce, butter, and honey. Microwave for 30 seconds.
- Remove the chicken and toss in the sauce.
- Optional: pop wings back in the air fryer for 3 minutes to caramelize the sauce on the wings
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Storage and reheating instructions:
Store any leftovers using an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
You can freeze using a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
Thaw overnight in the fridge before you reheat them.
Reheat in the air fryer until warmed through and avoid using the microwave as they will not come out crispy. If you saved some sauce you can toss them again before reheating.
