LEMON POPPY SEED SHORTBREAD COOKIES

Cream butter and powdered sugar together in mixing bowl.

Mix in poppy seeds and lemon zest.

Gradually add in flour.

Gather into a ball and wrap in plastic. Refrigerate 15 minutes.

Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness.

Place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Sprinkle with sugar and bake in 300°F oven for 20-25 minutes.
