Cream together butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and almond extracts. 

Add in remaining flour and mix just until combined.

Gently, fold in glacé cherries.

Roll dough into three logs. Wrap with plastic and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

After chilling, roll the logs in coarsely chopped pecans. Wrap again and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Cut dough into 1/4" thick slices and place one inch apart on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in 300°F oven for 17 to 20 minutes.

Melt chocolate and chip cooled cookies into chocolate, then sprinkle with additional chopped pecans.
