A chocolate-covered almond surprise in the middle of each almond macaroon. 

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together egg whites, almond extract and sugar.

Add in the flour and coconut. Let the mixture stand for 7 minutes.

Using heaping tablespoon, shape the mixture over a chocolate-covered almond.

Place on baking sheet and bake in 300°F oven for 20-25 minutes. 

Cool on wire rack, then drizzle with 1/2 cup of melted chocolate.

Top with slivered almond and enjoy!
