    • these donuts may look fussy but they're not! As easy as a basic muffin recipe, this is a quick recipe taking about ten minutes to mix and another sixteen minutes to bake!
    • no fancy equipment - the only thing you need is a donut pan found in most stores in the baking section.
    • this recipe makes a nice big batch of 18 donuts (using Wilton pan).

    INGREDIENTS AND SUBSTITUTIONS

Ingredients for recipe in small bowls with text overlay.

This recipe uses basic ingredients and no special notes needed other than to say that freshly squeezed lemon juice is recommended and not the bottled juice.

    INSTRUCTIONS

Dry ingredients are sifted into a mixing bowl using sieve.

These Strawberry Glazed Donuts comes together so quickly!

Start by melting the butter and setting it aside to cool.

Next, sift together all the dry ingredients.

Wet ingredients are mixed together in small white mixing bowl.

In a smaller mixing bowl, beat the egg, then add in milk, melted butter and vanilla.

Wet ingredients are added to dry ingredients in mixing bowl.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.

Strawberries are added to the donut butter with wooden spoon.

Gently fold in the finely chopped strawberries.

Batter is turned into the donut pan.

Spoon the batter into greased donut pan about ¾ full.

Baked donuts sitting on wire cooling rack.

Bake in 350°F oven for 15 to 17 minutes. My oven was 16 minutes for each batch.

Allow the donuts to cool for 5 minutes once you remove them from the oven.

Remove the donuts from the pans and cool a few more minutes while you make the glaze.

Glaze is mixed in small white mixing bowl with whisk.

Meanwhile, prepare the glaze by finely chopping 2 tbsp. of strawberries (about 2 large strawberries).

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together 1 tbsp. lemon juice and 1 cup of powdered sugar. Next, add the strawberries and stir until combined.

Add more lemon juice if needed (up to 1 more tbsp.) to reach a spreadable consistency.

You want to be able to drizzle the glaze easily from a spoon.

Baked donuts are drizzled with glaze on wire rack.

The easiest way to apply the glaze is to lay a sheet of parchment paper under the wire rack and drizzle over top.

Very lightly sift the glazed donuts with powdered sugar.
