Decadent Chocolate Pumpkin Brownies – The Ultimate Fall Dessert

These easy pumpkin brownies can easily be turned into pumpkin swirl brownies by swirling the two batter together with knife. Pumpkin brownies with fudgy chocolate are easy to make and tastes just as delicious the next day.

Ingredients

Ingredients for pumpkin chocolate chip brownies in small bowls.
  • semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • unsalted butter
  • flour
  • baking powder
  • salt
  • granulated sugar
  • large eggs
  • pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • oil
  • cinnamon
  • pumpkin pie spice

How To Make Pumpkin Brownies

STEP ONE – Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line and spray a 9×9-inch baking dish & set aside. 

STEP TWO – In a small saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and butter.  Heat over low heat and stir occasionally until completely melted and smooth.  Set aside and allow to cool slightly.

STEP THREE – In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the sugar and eggs and mix until combined. 

STEP FOUR – Add in the flour, baking powder and salt.  Stir just until combined. 

STEP FIVE – Divide the batter equally between two bowls.  Set aside. 

STEP SIX – In another bowl, combine the pumpkin, oil, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice.  Whisk to combine.  

STEP SEVEN – Add the pumpkin mixture to one bowl of batter and the cooled chocolate mixture to the other bowl of batter.  Stir each very well. 

STEP EIGHT – Alternate adding the chocolate batter and the pumpkin batter to the prepared pan.  Once all the batter has been dolloped, use a knife to swirl the mixture together for a more marbled appearance.  Sprinkle with the additional chocolate chips.  

STEP NINE – Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.  

STEP TEN – Remove from the oven and allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Storage Instructions

Brownies should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Ingredients

3/4 c semi sweet or dark chocolate chips

  8. Take turns adding the chocolate batter and the pumpkin batter to the prepared pan.  Once all the batter has been dolloped, use a knife to swirl the mixture together for a more aesthetic look.  Sprinkle with the additional chocolate chips.  
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.  
  10. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Cut into squares & enjoy!
