Creamy Lemon Basil Dressing


You will love how quick and easy it is to make this creamy dressing! Fresh basil, lemon juice and honey to give it the sweetness.  A hint of garlic and sour cream and mayo for the creaminess. The perfect recipe for a bounty of fresh basil.


1 cup sour cream

1 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup lemon juice (approximately 2 lemons)

1/2 cup freshly chopped basil

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

4 tbsp. honey

1/8 tsp. sea salt

1/8 tsp. freshly ground pepper


1. In a food chopper, or by hand chop the basil finely.  You want to be able to see the basil in the dressing. 

2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, freshly squeezed lemon juice, chopped fresh basil, garlic powder, honey and salt and pepper.  

3. Mix well to combine. 

Dressing can be store in refrigerator for 3 to 5 days. 


1 clove of fresh minced garlic may be substituted for the garlic powder.

For a sweeter dressing, 1 one more tbsp. of honey.
