    Chocolate Oreo Cookies

    Today, I am sharing the best, chewy Chocolate Oreo Cookies. A simple recipe that makes a small batch of eight to ten cookies. Pour yourself a tall glass of milk and enjoy these tasty treats!

    Chocolate cookies are a fun change from the usual favourites and we love these chocolate cookies with homemade marshmallow fluff and these double chocolate chip cookies too.

    step by step instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    You can use a stand mixer or hand mixer for this recipe.

    Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

    Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
    Add flour, cocoa and baking soda and combine until a soft dough forms.
    Fold in chocolate chips.

    Drop 8-10 large scoops of dough onto prepared baking sheet.
    Bake at 350°F for 12 minutes.

    Next, crush about 8 mini oreo cookies and fold into the frosting.
    Ice each cookie with the frosting either with a knife or a 1A tip and a decorator bag.
    Top with more crushed cookies.

    Store cooled, frosted cookies in an airtight container for up to four days for freshness.

    Description

    These jumbo frosted cookies are going to be on repeat! This is a quick and easy recipe using basic ingredients. A fun cookie that the entire family will love!


    Ingredients

    1 cup flour

    ½ teaspoon baking soda

    ¼ cup cocoa

    ⅓ cup butter

    ½ cup white sugar

    1 egg

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    ½ cup chocolate chips

    Topping:

    1 cup vanilla frosting

    ½ cup oreo mini cookies


    Instructions

    1. Cream together butter and sugar in a medium bowl.
    2. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
    3. Add flour, cocoa and baking soda and combine until a soft dough forms.
    4. Fold in chocolate chips.
    5. Drop 8-10 large scoops of dough onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
    6. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes.
    7. Crush about 8 mini oreo cookies and fold into the frosting.
    8. Ice each cookie with the frosting either by using a knife or a decorator bag and a 1A tip.
    9. Top with more crushed cookies.
