5 brownies stacked on a board surrounded by scattered pecans this recipe!

Stack em' High and Watch em' Fly

This is the quickest and easiest brownie recipe you will ever make and they are SO delicious! Some brownie recipes dry out after a few days. Not this one! Store the in a covered container and have them with a coffee or put them in the kids' lunch boxes and they will be delicious!

    Ingredients for the recipe:

Unsweetened chocolate - it contains absolutely no added sugar. This ingredient should not be substituted in this recipe as it will change the flavour and texture of the brownies.

Unsweetened chocolate can be found in the baking section in the grocery store.

Butter - is recommended for this recipe, however you may substitute margarine.

Granulated sugar - no substitutes here. Sugar gives this recipe its sweetness.

Eggs - use large eggs, brought to room temperature.

Vanilla - use pure vanilla extract. I always recommend using the 'pure' vs. 'artificial' vanilla extract, however in a pinch you may substitute the artificial. (I wouldn't want you to miss out on these delicious brownies because you don't have pure vanilla)!! 🙂

All-purpose flour - I only recommend using all-purpose in this recipe.

Pecans - coarsely chopped pecans are wonderful in this recipe. You may also substitute walnuts or omit them.

Chocolate Chips - they add to the chocolaty flavour that make these brownies so delicious.

    How to prepare this recipe:

I love how this recipe uses the same saucepan for mixing all of the ingredients. So easy and less mess.

    • 1 - Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate
    • 2 - Remove from heat
    • 3 - Stir in sugar, then blend in two eggs; one at a time
    • 4 - Add vanilla, then stir in flour
    • 5 - Add in the chocolate chips
    • 6 - Add in the chopped pecans
    • 7 - Stir to combine
    • 8 - Spread in a greased 8x8-inchbaking pan.
    • 9 - Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.
